Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates only for recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer(Civil) in Class-II of Orissa Engineering Service. SCALE OF PAY:-Rs.6500-200-10,500/-. VACANCY POSITION:- S.C..-24(7-W), S.T. 212(64-W)= Total 236(71-W). AGE :- A candidate must be under 37 years and above 21 years of age as on 1st August,2002. The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years in respect of Graduate Engineers who are already in panel as per the Water Resources Department, Resolution No.470 dt: 04-01-2002.The upper age limit may be relaxed in full in respect of candidates who have entered the State Government Service as Junior Engineer within the prescribed age limit but without the qualification prescribed under clause(d) of Rule-9 of Orissa Service of Engineering Rules,1941 and have subsequently acquired the Graduate Engineers Degree while serving as such. QUALIFICATIONS:- A candidate must (a) hold a Degree in Civil Engineering from an Indian University or a Diploma in Civil Engineering from an Indian Engineering College or (b) be an associated Member of the Institution of Engineers(Civil)(India); or (c) hold a Degree or Diploma in Civil from one of the Universities or Civil Engineering Colleges in the United Kingdom enumerated in the Appendix to the long advertisement or have passed one of the examinations therein.
