Applications in the prescribed form are invited
from in-service Assistant Surgeons having one year experience under the State
Government/State Government Undertakings/Lecturers working under the State Government in
the three Government Medical Colleges and its attached Hospitals of the State for the
Junior Teaching posts(Lecturers) in following disciplines in the S.C.B.Medical College and Hospital and
S.V.P.P.G.I.P., Cuttack, M.K.C.G. Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur and V.S.S.
Medical College and Hospital, Burla, or any
other Medical College and its attached Hospital established by the State Government in the
pay scale of Rs.8,000-275-13,500/-. In Class-II of the Orissa Medical Education
Service(Orissa Medical Education Service(Recruitment)Rules, 1979 as amended from time to
time). In-service Doctors with Post-Graduate Degree but without the prescribed experience
of one year and those with Post-Graduate Degree who are not in-service Doctors, may also
apply; but they will be considered only if those working as Assistant Surgeons/Lecturers
under the State Government /State Government Undertakings with prescribed qualifications
are not available in adequate number.
VACANCY POSITION: PATHOLOGY-5(un-reserved) and EXPERIMENTAL SURGERY-1(un-reserved). AGE : Over 21 years and under 32 years as on 1st
August,2004. The upper age limit is relaxable
by three years for candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward
Classes(SEBC) by five years for candidates who belong to the categories of S.C., S.T.,
Women and eligible Ex-servicemen and by ten years for Physically Handicapped persons. The
upper age limit is relaxable by thirteen
years, i.e, upto 45 years of age in case of clinical
discipline candidates and by 18 years, i.e, upto 50 years in case of candidates of
non-clinical disciplines who are already in Orissa State Government Service. For the
purpose of this clause, “Government Service” will include those who have been in
contract employment under the Government for three years or more. A set of application
form alogwith a copy of long advertisement is obtainable in personally from the Office of
the Orissa Public Service Commission, 19, Dr.P.K.Parija Road, Cuttack-753 001 on cash payment of Rs.30/-. Or by registered post
on payment of Rs.55/-. By money order. Candidates asking for application form by post must
write clearly in capital letters on the money order coupon their name, address and the
